A little while back, the lovely folks at Basic Grey sent me the most fabulous package of buttons, fabric flowers (um, hello - my favorite!), and a canvas sampler. Now, I'd never seen one of these super cool samplers before- I let it sit there for awhile, just staring at me. I felt like I must add every square of fabric and cool button/ribbon/pin I've gathered but in the end, I really enjoyed how it looks with just some of my favorite fabric prints. I 'attached' them with double sided fusible webbing, but the canvas + webbing sort of acts like velcro, so I can move the squares around, replace, exchange, etc. It's basically my new mood wall.
After I got passed the initial intimidation...I really enjoyed working with it- even Jack joined in the fun...
Here he is carefully arranging the squares :)
They also included some positively gorgeous buttons...the shiny ones really,uh, spoke to me.
And of course, any time I find a fabric flower, I MUST attach it to a bag!
All these super darling goodies are on the Basic Grey site (which is also a treat to look through) and you might want to check back here in the next couple of days ....I may just have more of these lovelies to share. (hint, hint).
