So today- at 7:30am to be exact, I actually said out loud, "I love Etsy." I know, it's a little sappy right? But I had just received a sweet message from lucie at summersville responding to the zipper pouch I created using her hand screen-printed fabric. I thought, 'wow, she's a mom in england. she makes gorgeous fabric. i'm a mom in oregon. i buy. she sends. i make. and presto! it's like a magically wonderful crafty little circle in this big 'ol world.' it might not be all that amazing to others i suppose, but i think when you work at home with a toddler like i do & my days are spent constructing lego buildings, scraping yogurt off the table, and sewing during nap times.....it's a simple joy to feel a bit of connection.now, shall we sing kumbaya?
in any event, in addition to the magic zipper pouch here's a few other new ones I've whipped up this week:

I love Etsy too :) makes me feel like I'm not alone in the world, there really /are/ other humans out there!
