Robot Valentine

Tuesday, February 08, 2011

Hooray! We completed Jack's valentines for his friends & school mates. We're both so happy with how they turned out. Of course, they are totally his style- orange with robots.  Last year we made those cute little melty hearts, but now that he is able to write a bit and enjoys (some) crafting...I thought of this one!

It was easy as pie, I free hand drew a robot (as if you can't tell ;) on white paper then he wrote his name in the middle. I scanned this image into the computer & printed on aqua cardstock. We cut them into card size rectangles and then Jack added bits of flair;  red heart cutouts & orangy eyes (using a regular 'ol hole punch). Glued on a more orange card stock and there we were surrounded by dozens of darling little robots.

This craft was perfect for him since he loves helping to use the computer, writing his name, and gluing little bits. It didn't require as much patience as some of the other projects I set up for him :)

I've also found tons of charming printable valentines & will be sharing those soon!

::Love to hear & see any Valentinesy crafts you've been creating::
